Set to a powerful and hopeful text by Toronto poet John Warden, and inspired by Greta Thunberg and the worldwide environmental marches in 2019, Storm Birds was the winner of Da Capo Chamber Choir's 2020 NewWorks Competition. DaCapo premiered the piece in 2022.

of a world, startled by children,
filling the streets and the plazas,
storming the golden battlements,
